What OutPath is

OutPath is an app for sharing photos of nature, planning walking routes and rating places. By using it, you accept these terms.

Account

To publish you need an account and to be at least 16. You are responsible for your password and for what happens on your account. Without an account you can browse as a guest, but you cannot add anything.

You delete your account yourself, at the very bottom of Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Your content

Your photos and texts remain yours. By publishing them you grant us a free licence to store them and show them in the app - solely so that the app can display them to other users. The licence ends when you delete the content.

Publish only photos you have the rights to.

What is not allowed

Publishing unlawful, offensive, hateful or pornographic content.

Impersonating other people.

Creating accounts automatically, circumventing limits or manipulating the ranking, including rating places you have not visited.

Publishing other people's photos without their permission.

Reporting content

Every photo has a report button - the flag in the top right corner of the photo screen. You choose a reason and can add a short description. This is the notice-and-action mechanism required by Article 16 of the Digital Services Act (Regulation 2022/2065). If you cannot use the button, write to support@outpathapp.com - same process, same timeframe.

We handle every report without undue delay and tell the person who reported it what we decided. We tell the author of content we remove or hide why. If you think our decision was wrong - either way - write to support@outpathapp.com and we will review it again. You can also go to court or use the out-of-court dispute settlement provided for in Article 21 of that Regulation.

The order of photos in the feed

Photos in the feed are not simply ordered newest first. The order depends on how long ago the photo was taken (which counts most), the number of likes, whether you follow the author, the distance from the area you last looked at on the map, and whether you have already been shown the photo. We also make sure one person's photos do not fill the whole screen.

Nobody pays for a higher place. The order is calculated on your phone, and we do not build any profile from it. We describe these rules as Article 27 of the Digital Services Act requires.

Routes and safety

Routes are planned from OpenStreetMap data. They may be out of date, lead through dangerous or closed terrain, and they do not take account of the weather, mountain conditions or your fitness.

A planned route is a suggestion, not a guarantee that it can be walked. You are responsible for your own safety. In the mountains check official warnings and carry a backup map - and in an emergency call 112, or in the Polish mountains also 601 100 300.

Calorie estimates and activity statistics are approximations based on general formulas. They are not medical measurements and are not suitable for making health decisions.

Subscription

Premium is paid monthly or yearly and renews automatically until you cancel. Payments are handled by Google Play; you cancel and request refunds in your Google Play settings, under Google's rules.

As a consumer you have 14 days to withdraw from a contract concluded at a distance. Starting to use digital content before that period ends, at your express request, may remove this right. In practice refunds are handled by Google Play.

Deleting your account in the app does not cancel the subscription - that has to be done separately in Google Play.

Removal of content and accounts

You can delete your posts and your account at any time. We may remove content or block an account if it breaks these terms or the law; we will then tell you why and how to appeal.

Liability

The app is provided as is. We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or that map data is correct. This does not limit your rights under mandatory consumer protection law.

Map data and licences

Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the ODbL licence, prepared as map tiles by Protomaps. Routes are calculated by BRouter from the same data. This is shown on the map and links to the full licence text.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live.
