Is an OutPath account free?
Yes. You create the account for free and without a card, and the app works without a subscription. Premium is an extra you can turn on in the app whenever you like.
Can I create an account before I install the app?
Yes, right here. Then sign in to the app with the same e-mail address and password.
Which phones does OutPath run on?
Android 7.0 and newer. There is no iPhone version yet.
Is OutPath only for hiking?
No. Activities cover walking, hiking, running, cycling and mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, climbing, kayaking and more, and the route planner has profiles for walking and for cycling.
Does OutPath work without signal?
Recording an activity and taking photos always work: photos wait in a queue and send themselves when you are back in signal. With Premium you can also download regions, so the map and route planning work offline too.
Who can see my photos?
Everyone who uses the app, unless you make a photo private. Your visited places and saved activities are visible only to you.
Does the app track me in the background?
No. It reads your location when you add a photo and during an activity you start yourself, and then a notification shows that recording is on.
How do I leave Premium or delete my account?
Cancel the subscription in Google Play, step by step. Delete the account at the bottom of Settings in the app or in your browser.
